Dana Point Harbor sits on the site of what author Richard Henry Dana Jr. called in 1840 'the only romantic spot on the coast.' In the 1960s, it was developed into a modern waterfront with a state-of-the-art marina, guest slips for visiting boats, and a natural cove protected by a breakwater. The harbor was officially dedicated on July 31, 1971, and today it accommodates hundreds of vessels and welcomes over a million visitors each year.

The harbor is home to shops, restaurants with waterfront views, and a certified farmers market that meets Wednesdays. From the docks you can charter a fishing boat, rent a sailboat or paddleboard, take a whale-watching cruise, or book passage to Catalina Island. The harbor serves as the departure point for regular ferry service and is a hub for both recreational boaters and commercial activity.

A harbor like this becomes part of a family's life and memory — the place where a first sailing lesson happens or where you gather on an evening out. Planning for the people who share those moments is what term life insurance does: it protects the dependents who would be hurt if your income disappeared, for the years that matter most.
